The KILO Mindset: Built on Consistency. Proven Under Pressure.

KILO isn’t just a name—it’s a standard.

My connection to the word “KILO” started in 2000, when I enlisted in the United States Army as a 19K—Armored Crewman. At the time, I was coming from a difficult upbringing and a troubled path. The Army wasn’t just an opportunity—it was a turning point.

Over the next seven years, I served honorably as a decorated soldier. Among my awards were the Army Commendation Medal with Valor and the Combat Action Badge. But beyond recognition, the military instilled something deeper in me: discipline, consistency, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Those years shaped who I am. I was built on consistency—and proven under pressure.

After being honorably discharged at 33, I faced a new challenge: what comes next?

I needed something that would push me again. Something that demanded discipline, accountability, and resilience. That’s when I found powerlifting.

At 38 years old, I stepped into a new arena—and once again, the word “KILO” became part of my identity. In competition, every lift is measured in kilograms. Every number represents preparation, sacrifice, and execution under pressure.

For 10 years, I competed at a high level, testing myself every three months. Over time, I achieved:

  • 520 lb bench press
  • 650 lb squat
  • 700 lb deadlift
  • 30+ first-place finishes

But those numbers only tell part of the story.

Behind the platform, I was battling PTSD, physical injuries from my time in service, and the weight of losing fellow soldiers and friends to suicide and tragedy. The physical demands were real—but the mental challenges were even greater.

Powerlifting became more than competition. It became a way to rebuild, to stay grounded, and to keep moving forward—no matter the circumstances.

Eventually, the wear and tear on my body forced me to step away from lifting. But the mindset never left.

That mindset is KILO.

KILO represents more than weight. It represents what you carry—physically and mentally. It stands for discipline when motivation fades, consistency when things get difficult, and resilience when life tests you.

KILO Activewear was built on that foundation.

This brand is for those who show up, put in the work, and refuse to break under pressure—no matter what they’re facing. If you wear the brand your saying "KEELOOOO"! which means you stand with those who struggle and sometimes want to break, but refuse to quit!
